The Hurley Protector has two stages of operation, the Ceramic Filter & the all stainless steel cartridge with the carbon. The Ceramic filter removes or reduces dirt,sediment, E-Coli,salmonella,cholera,fecal coliforms, typhoid,serraria @ a 99.99 efficiency. Giardia lambia & cryptosporidium parvum @ 100% efficiency. This filter is washable so you can reduce maintenance costs.
We recommend our Solutions4You Commercial grade cleaing solution, to maintain this cartridge, and should be done at least every 6 months. Ceramic cartridge should be replaced every 2 years.  

The stainless steel carbon cartridge reduces lead, zinc, iron,benzene, chlorine,p-Dichlorobenzene, carbon tetrochloride, trihalomethanes, trichloroethelene, mercury,1,1,1-trichloroethane, copper, cadmium, manganese,1,2,-dichloroethane,nickel, & chromium. This is the perfect water filter system for people with chemical sensitivity,(MCS), due to the final filter being constructed of all stainless steel components. It also is able to help you de-toxify from from chemicals and heavy metals. This cartridge will last between 3-5 years, so operational costs are very low. There is no wasted water or holding tank, as with RO systems.
Protector system comes ready to install under your sink, with a separate faucet for filtered water. You will need a hole in either your sink or counter to mount this faucet.
